DeepSight Technology is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team building cutting‑edge ultrasound systems. You will bring up, optimize, and integrate embedded subsystems, and shape a robust test infrastructure from prototype to production in a regulated medical device startup.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of embedded systems experience in hardware and firmware design.
• Experience with bare‑metal and RTOS firmware (FreeRTOS, Zephyr).
• Proficiency in C, C++, Python; Rust possible.
• FPGA development with Verilog, VHDL, or Amaranth.
• Experience with Altium Designer or KiCad for schematic/PCB.
• Hands-on mixed-signal, RF, or optoelectronic circuit design.
• Experience designing test software and test automation solutions.
• Familiarity with data acquisition systems and lab equipment.
• Strong understanding of EE principles for high-performance embedded systems.
• Experience in regulated industries with design controls for FDA/CE submissions.
• Excellent debugging and Linux development skills.

Responsibilities

• Architect embedded hardware and firmware for ultrasound subsystems (mixed signal, RF).
• Extend and maintain firmware, ensuring quality and performance.
• Develop HIL and automated production testing tools.
• Create detailed test specs and contribute to regulatory documentation.
• Own FPGA RTL features (Verilog/VHDL/Amaranth).
• Develop end-to-end data acquisition pipeline for testing and manufacturing support.
• Optimize embedded subsystem performance and drive HW/FW/SW integration.
• Define capital equipment requirements for testing.
• Lead failure analysis and root-cause investigations.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, systems, and manufacturing engineers.
