Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM seeks an experienced electrical engineer with a focus on cybersecurity for embedded hardware systems, including flight vehicles and rocket systems.

The role involves R&D, capability development, and analysis across the full cycle, from concept to secure design. Candidates should have deep expertise in computer engineering and electrical engineering and be able to work onsite in Albuquerque.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, with five years of directly relevant experience or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q and SCI clearance which may require a polygraph test.
• Graduate degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Forensics, Mathematics or related field.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with researchers across the capability development cycle: discover, model, validate, and apply cybersecurity capabilities to embedded systems.
• Analyze proposed systems and test data to support design and validation of models and capabilities.
• Contribute to secure design engineering and technical investigations for lab programs.
