Job summary

PhysicsX is seeking a Senior Electromagnetic Simulation Engineer in New York City, hybrid with 2–3 days in the office. You will lead complex EM modeling across low and high frequency, collaborating with Data Scientists and customers to deliver high‑fidelity simulations and AI‑informed results.

You should have 3–5 years post‑Masters/PhD in a commercial setting, strong tool proficiency, and the ability to mentor teammates while traveling to North American client sites.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of industry experience (post Masters or PhD) in a commercial, non‑research environment.
• Deep expertise in electromagnetic theory and simulation across low‑ and high‑frequency domains.
• Proficiency with industry EM software such as Ansys HFSS, Ansys Maxwell, CST Studio Suite, COMSOL, Altair FEKO or Siemens tools.

Responsibilities

• Independently build complex electromagnetic models for low‑ and high‑frequency EM applications.
• Automate simulation pipelines to enable fast optimization and parametric design.
• Collaborate with data scientists and customers to translate engineering challenges into actionable simulations.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their growth.
• Travel to customer sites in the North America region (approx. 3–4 weeks per quarter).
• Balance accuracy and efficiency while presenting results and recommended next steps.
