Job summary

The Electronics Technician III at EMI independently assembles and wires the company’s most complex electronic equipment from controlled drawings and work instructions. This senior production role owns workmanship, self-inspection, records, QC handoff, and technician mentoring.

QC performs all power-up and functional testing. Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, wiring, labeling, and routing; maintaining tool safety; documenting discrepancies; and providing engineering feedback on

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
  • 7–10 years of progressive electronics or electromechanical assembly experience.
  • Ability to read controlled drawings and schematics, and verify revisions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to coach junior technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and wire complex EMI equipment, panels, enclosures, subassemblies, and harnesses.
  • Interpret drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs; verify revisions.
  • Cut, strip, crimp, solder, terminate, route, label, and secure wiring; install connectors.
  • Self-inspect workmanship and records; prepare QC handoff and assist with testing.
  • Document nonconforming material and drawing discrepancies; avoid unauthorized changes.
  • Mentor Electronics Technician I and II; support prototype builds and feedback loop.
