Gravity IT Resources in Sterling, VA is seeking an Electronics Engineer to design and develop high-performance mixed-signal hardware systems. You’ll contribute across the full hardware development lifecycle from schematic capture and high-speed PCB layout to validation, calibration, and manufacturing transition.

This role blends precision analog design, embedded systems, and PCB expertise to ensure signal integrity and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–7 years of analog and digital hardware design experience.
• Strong background in high-speed multilayer PCB layout.
• Experience with controlled impedance routing and mixed-signal design.
• Hands-on lab experience with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Experience designing MCU-based embedded hardware systems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing analog and digital circuits for mixed-signal systems
• Creating and reviewing multilayer PCB layouts (4–8+ layers) with controlled impedance
• Performing high-speed routing including differential pairs, length matching, and stack-up definition
• Applying signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) best practices
• Implementing EMI/EMC-aware layout and grounding strategies
• Developing schematics, selecting components, and analyzing datasheets
• Designing and integrating MCU-based embedded hardware systems
• Performing hardware bring-up, validation, debugging, and troubleshooting
• Developing test procedures and executing system calibration
• Supporting prototype development and transition to manufacturing (DFM/DFT)
• Documenting designs, revisions, and validation results in alignment with company standards
