Job summary

Safran Cabin in Los Angeles seeks a Senior Electronics Engineer to join the Engineering team. You will lead research, design, development and testing of electronics such as VFMDs, ACIM/BLDC motors, DC valves and system controllers for aerospace applications.

You will interface with cross-functional groups to ensure airworthy designs meet budget and schedule, while leading improvement activities across the group.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in electrical engineering from ABET-accredited institution or equivalent.
• 5+ years of electronics experience with a focus on mixed-signal design.
• Ability to perform SPICE analysis and MATLAB/Simulink modeling.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements and validate them by analysis/modeling/prototyping or based on previous product performance.
• Create and maintain hardware requirements specifications and hardware interface control documents.
• Perform SPICE analysis of circuits using Altium/OrCAD PSPICE tools.
• Perform analysis and MATLAB/Simulink modeling to generate control algorithms.
• Design magnetics for EMI filters and other input/output filters; perform thermal and derating analyses.
