Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc is seeking a Senior Electronics Design Engineer for the Home Interconnects & Interconnect Controls team. You will own and drive the board architecture for interconnect products, from power-conversion and metering to control architecture, through verification and production.

You will collaborate with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineering to bring robust, cost-effective products to market, including schematic capture, PCB reviews, and DFx initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of mixed-signal electronic hardware design and product development.
• Experience with power-conversion design (AC-DC and/or DC-DC) and microcontroller-based embedded control systems.
• Proven ability to own and drive board-level architecture, interfaces, and design tradeoffs.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB design reviews.
• Hands-on debugging with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Own and design analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits for power conversion and measurement.
• Mentor engineers and lead design reviews, standards, and architecture decisions.
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and test teams to deliver robust products.
• Support manufacturing and production at scale, resolve hardware failures, and drive DFx.
