Job summary

The Minnesota Department of Transportation invites applications for Electronic Technician Senior or Electronic Technician in Saint Paul. The role covers construction, repair, and maintenance of traffic electronic equipment and telecommunication systems to ensure reliable field operation.

Salary ranges are posted; the final classification and pay depend on qualifications. This full-time position operates in a day shift with Monday–Friday workdays.

Qualifications

• Two-year electronics program or equivalent within the last ten years.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Experience with testing, measuring devices, and calibration.
• Valid Class D driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, maintain, and operate traffic electronic equipment.
• Repair and modify signal cabinets to specifications.
• Lead and coordinate work of other technicians as needed.
• Perform acceptance testing and prepare new equipment designs as required.
