Job summary

INIT Innovations in Transportation, located at the Chesapeake, Virginia site, is seeking an Electronic Technician to perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, modification and testing of electronic and electro-mechanical products. The role operates as a senior technical resource within the repair operation, partnering with engineering, quality, and repair logistics teams.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in electronics repair, testing, or manufacturing support.
• Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics and circuit behavior.
• Proficiency with electronic test equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.
• Experience with component-level PCB repair and rework.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Diagnostics & Repair: troubleshoot circuits, PCBAs, sub-assemblies and rerun repairs.
• Documentation & Systems: write/update repair procedures, failure modes, test results and reports.
• Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement: follow IPC/ISO standards and support audits.
• Collaboration & Technical Leadership: act as escalation point and mentor technicians.
• Training & Growth: support onboarding and training of staff on new tooling.
• Reports to: Repair Supervisor and SQM Management.
