Job summary

Vantive, a leader in vital organ therapy, is seeking an experienced Verification & Validation engineer to support electrical and mechanical medical device components and systems.

You will own electromechanical test plans, lead V&V projects, and drive quality through test data analysis and cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Quality, regulatory, and manufacturing teams. A hands-on, fast-paced environment awaits, with a minimum 3 onsite days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in test engineering.
• Experience with medical device systems and plans/procedures/reports, equipment, and test methods.
• Demonstrated root cause analysis abilities and troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on electro-mechanical testing, fault diagnosis and isolation.
• Experience creating detailed, clear documentation and records.
• Collaborative work across disciplines and project teams.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and coordinate with engineers/technicians.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop electromechanical test plans, methods, protocols, and reports for verification of requirements on components and systems.
• Lead a team through the planning and execution of Test V&V projects with cross-functional interfaces.
• Drive quality into product development with analysis, test results, and timely feedback to teams.
• Reverse engineer designs to perform test impact assessments and define test scope.
• Design test cases including methodology, setups, materials, equipment, procedures, and acceptance criteria.
• Perform functional testing of mechanical assemblies, electrical circuits, and systems.
• Contribute to cross-functional meetings and design reviews.
• Support hardware/software teams in development, feasibility, pre-compliance, integration, and changes with test data.
• Design/qualify hardware and software tools/fixtures for test methods and data analysis.
• Review designs and traceability to develop test methods and ensure coverage of requirements.
• Develop feasibility and characterization testing on designs and prototypes.
