Legrand North America seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the development of high-volume electromechanical products for electrical infrastructure across North America. You will drive mechanical design, prototypes, and collaboration with product management, electrical engineering, manufacturing, tooling, and suppliers to deliver scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes turning concepts into production-ready designs with a focus on manufacturability, reliability, and regulatory compliance,

Qualificações

• BSME required with 10+ years in mechanical/electromechanical product development.
• Experience with injection molded plastics and high-volume manufacturing.
• SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD tool proficiency.
• Experience solving thermal/structural problems with CAE tools (FEA/CFD).
• Excellent communication across all organizational levels.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead new product development from concept through production release.
• Translate customer needs into clear product specifications with PM alignment.
• Design innovative electromechanical systems and prototypes.
• Integrate electronics and connected technologies with mechanical designs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers for cost, quality, and scale.
• Ensure regulatory and safety compliance (UL) and production readiness.
