Job summary

Nextern seeks a versatile Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support both electromechanical consoles/capital equipment and catheter-based disposables. This role operates with limited supervision on the manufacturing floor, bridging engineering and production to ensure robust builds and test results.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on technician experience in regulated manufacturing (medical device or similar).
• Deep hands-on experience in electromechanical build and test or catheter/balloon manufacturing, with breadth across both domains.
• Experience executing IQ/OQ and writing clear technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Electromechanical & Capital Equipment Build: assemble, integrate, and debug consoles and equipment to BOMs and routings.
• Electrical Safety & Automated Test: set up and troubleshoot HIPOT, insulation resistance, ground bond, leakage current and automate test systems.
• Catheter & Balloon Manufacturing: process catheter shaft prep, balloon bonding, assembly and testing of dynamic components.
• Equipment Qualification, Maintenance & Metrology: perform IQ/OQ, preventive maintenance, calibration, and dimensional inspection.
• Returned Product, Documentation & Compliance: handle returned products, ERP transactions, and DHF/DMR documentation.
