Job summary

PsiQuantum in Milpitas, CA, is seeking a Senior Electro-Optic System Design Engineer to drive design and execution of electro-optic systems, collaborating with the System Design team to deliver working boxes.

You will define requirements, lead cross-functional development, and apply Python scripting to lab equipment, with a path to production and strong emphasis on optical engineering.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing, validating electro-optic systems.
• Experience delivering electro-optic products to production.
• Strong cross-functional product development experience.

Responsibilities

• Define design requirements for boxes to meet system specs.
• Lead design, development, and qualification of boxes with cross-functional teams.
• Act as box design lead and TPM to deliver box designs.
• Develop understanding of system functionality, PIC/EIC, thermal and fiber requirements.
• Define test specifications with Build Process and Validation teams.
• Python scripting to control lab equipment and systems.
• Adapt to new challenges and develop new skills.
• Other duties as assigned.
