Job summary

Our client in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with hands-on experience in electro-mechanical devices. The role covers design principles, system architecture, and implementation across complex engineering assignments, including design reviews and reliability assessments.

You will lead testing, data analysis, and root‑cause investigation while collaborating with cross-functional teams and supporting manufacturing process development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Biomedical, or Software preferred).
• 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience in FDA or FAA regulated environments strongly preferred.
• Medical device industry experience is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate test methods (TMV), DoE, and perform advanced data analysis (Python preferred).
• Work with digital sensor outputs and analyze resulting datasets.
• Design and build test beds for system evaluation.
• Apply strong troubleshooting skills to resolve system and component issues.
• Create and execute comprehensive testing plans.
• Perform hands-on testing and document results.
• Author detailed technical reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
• Manage the defect lifecycle, including collection, documentation, and summarization for development partners.
