Job summary

Jabil in Gurnee, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of electro-mechanical maintenance tasks in a manufacturing environment. Working under supervision, you will troubleshoot, dismantle, repair and calibrate equipment, and support preventive maintenance programs.

You will use test equipment, read blueprints, and interact with suppliers; overtime and on-call work may be required. Candidates should have an associate degree in a technical field and 5–8 years of relevant

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in electrical/mechanical tech
• 5–8 years experience with electro-mechanical equipment in manufacturing
• Able to read/write English and communicate with technical support
• Forklift certification may be required

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in manufacturing
• Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment per plans or manuals
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts
• Rebuild manufacturing equipment as required
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and document it
• Calibrate equipment using general and special purpose test equipment
• May assist in development of work procedures
• May train employees in operation of machinery
• May be required to work overtime or be on-call
