Job summary

SSC Services for Education, a Compass Group company, seeks a Senior Electrician/Maintenance Technician for on-site campus duties in our facilities. You will operate, maintain, repair, and install electrical systems, read blueprints, and respond to emergencies to keep the site safe and functional.

Successful candidates bring a Journeyman Electrical License and 5 years’ institutional maintenance experience. A strong safety mindset and ability to work all shifts as needed are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of maintenance technician experience in an institutional setting.
• Working knowledge of NEC and local codes.
• Journeyman Electrical License held and current.
• Experience reading blueprints, specs, or models.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform strenuous labor.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, repair, and install electrical systems and equipment on site.
• Read blueprints, estimate materials, and request supplies as needed.
• Install EMT, rigid, and conduit; troubleshoot electrical systems.
• Maintain logs, perform rounds, and document tasks in CMMS.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with maintenance team.
• Assist with planning manpower, materials, and deadlines.
