Job summary

Yunex Traffic in Miami, Florida is seeking a Master Electrician to join its project team as it upgrades the city’s traffic signals and ITS infrastructure.

Successful candidates will bring 3–5 years ITS experience, Florida Master Electrician license, IMSA/MOT certifications, and strong troubleshooting skills. The role requires on-site work, safety compliance, and the ability to manage field crews.

Qualifications

• IMSA Traffic Signal II Certification or higher.
• FDOT Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) certification; bucket truck operator certification may be required.
• Master Electrician License (State of Florida or Reciprocating State).
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Must understand budgets and schedules.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to move supplies and equipment up to 75 lbs.
• Willingness and ability to work at heights when installing, repairing, and maintaining traffic signals.
• Must pass a DOT physical exam and drug test.
• Knowledge of Miami Dade County Traffic Signal and Specs Standards; Basic knowledge of NEC standards

Responsibilities

• Installs, configures, maintains, and fixes traffic signal equipment components and devices.
• Performs repair, removal, and replacement of traffic signal controllers and other equipment.
• Set up traffic control in high and low-speed environments.
• Installs, maintains, and repairs cabinet wiring and intersection wiring.
• Completes reports and performs communications per company policy and local practices.
• Reports the technical status of the system with accuracy and completeness.
• Troubleshoots and isolates faults in units or components.
• Provides periodic on-call services.
• Field test of units or components; tests devices to ensure they work correctly.
• Maintenance of spare equipment and parts following established procedures.

Education

IMSA Traffic Signal II Certification or higher

FDOT MOT certification

Master Electrician License
