Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking an Electrician 5 to join a global leader in commercial real estate and facilities management in Goleta, CA. The role supports critical R&D lab operations with a Monday–Friday schedule, performing maintenance on electrical systems and power infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a Journeyman license, 3+ years of experience, and strong troubleshooting and safety skills to operate in a high-tech environment with cleanrooms and mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent certification.
• Minimum 3 years of commercial or industrial electrical maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical distribution systems, lighting systems, and motor controls up to 480V.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
• Knowledge of NEC requirements, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and electrical safety best practices.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems up to 480V in a critical R&D environment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on distribution systems, lighting, power equipment, panels, and motor controls.
• Install conduit, pull wire, terminate circuits, and upgrade electrical infrastructure per NEC standards.
• Support critical power infrastructure including UPS, switchgear, and distribution equipment.
• Document maintenance activities in a CMMS and ensure safety and SLAs are met.

As an Electrician, you will be part of the Facilities Operations and Maintenance Department supporting the Critical Environment and R&D Laboratory Operations Team. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent attention to detail, and a safety-first mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Electrician 5

Location: Goleta, CA 93117

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM

What’s the Job?

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair single-phase and three-phase electrical systems up to 480V in a critical R&D laboratory environment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical distribution systems, lighting, emergency power equipment, panels, and motor controls.
• Install conduit, pull wire, terminate circuits, and complete electrical upgrades in compliance with NEC standards.
• Support critical power infrastructure, including UPS systems, switchgear, and emergency power distribution equipment.
• Document maintenance activities through a CMMS platform while ensuring compliance with safety and service-level requirements.
