We are seeking experienced Senior Electrical Test Technicians to join a growing team dedicated to the testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of medium- and high-voltage electrical power systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects across utility, industrial, renewable energy, battery energy storage, and petrochemical facilities.

Electrical Testing & Commissioning
- Perform acceptance, maintenance, and commissioning testing on electrical power systems and equipment.
- Conduct testing and analysis of:
- Protective Relays & Control Systems
- Circuit Breakers
- Power Transformers
- Current & Potential Transformers (CTs/PTs)
- Medium- and High-Voltage Switchgear
- Power Cables
- Grounding Systems & Ground Grid Networks
- Station Batteries & Battery Chargers
- Motors & Motor Control Equipment
- Alarm, Annunciator, and Auxiliary Systems
- Power System Metering Equipment
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics
- Troubleshoot electrical system failures and equipment malfunctions.
- Identify deficiencies and develop corrective action recommendations.
- Support outage activities, startup operations, and equipment energization.
- Assist with root cause investigations and reliability improvements.
Documentation & Reporting
- Generate detailed technical reports documenting:
- Test procedures performed
- Equipment condition assessments
- Deficiencies discovered
- Corrective recommendations
- Final test results
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
Client & Team Support
- Interface directly with customers, engineers, project managers, and field personnel.
- Communicate project status and testing results professionally and effectively.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and execution activities.
- Mentor junior technicians and contribute to team development.
Safety
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture.
- Follow all company, client, OSHA, NFPA 70E, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Participate in safety meetings, job hazard analyses, and site risk assessments.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with established procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology, Electronics Technology, or related field; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in electrical testing, commissioning, or power systems.
- NETA Certification Level II, III, or IV required.
- Experience working with medium- and high-voltage electrical systems.
- Ability to interpret single-line diagrams, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel approximately 50% or more as required.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays when necessary.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- NETA Level III or IV Certification.
- Experience working in utility substations and industrial facilities.
- Knowledge of battery energy storage systems (BESS).
- Experience performing relay testing using modern protection schemes.
- Familiarity with commissioning and startup procedures.
- Previous field leadership or mentoring experience.
