Job summary

Barber-Nichols seeks a Senior Electrical Test Engineer in Denver to own production test development, DFT analysis, and troubleshooting across power, digital, and analog circuits in 100W–50kW systems.

You will lead test readiness reviews, collaborate with design, production, and quality, and mentor team members while ensuring data traceability and safety compliance with MIL-STD-810, CE, ATEX, and NASA standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
8+ years of experience testing, troubleshooting and developing test processes for power electronics.
Experience with circuit analysis, schematic capture, layout, board-level designs, and verification.
Testing with FPGAs/Processors, filters, amplifiers, ADCs, DACs, transformers, and gate drive of FETs/IGBTs.
Knowledge of PCB design, layout, and manufacturing.
Experience with test tools: National Instruments, hipot, Megger, oscilloscopes, multimeters.
Experience with LTSpice, MATLAB/Simulink, and similar tools.
CAD for schematic capture such as Altium Designer.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot test failures and document data traceability.
Define test processes to meet internal and customer requirements.
Design, develop and produce test equipment and processes.
Estimate costs to develop test processes and perform testing.
Author procedures to verify requirements and ensure delivery of quality product.
Coordinate with design, sourcing, and vendors to meet test plans and lead times.
