Job summary

Automated Test Systems & Electronics Testing in Madison, AL is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to support the development and implementation of electronic, electrical, and production test solutions onsite.

The role requires expertise in automated test equipment (ATE), test programming, test procedure development, troubleshooting, Design for Test (DFT) analysis, and experience in production and depot-level testing environments, with a focus on product quality and manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; equivalent experience may substitute for education.
• 8+ years of experience in test engineering, electronics testing, automated test systems or related field.
• Experience developing test plans, procedures, and automated testing solutions.
• Proficiency programming and operating test equipment platforms (DIT-MCO, CableScan, Cirris, PXI).
• Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with MS Office and open-source software/testing environments.
• U.S. citizenship required by federal law.

Responsibilities

• Review customer requirements and specifications to develop compliant test strategies and testing solutions.
• Develop cost estimates and technical inputs for customer proposals and testing requirements.
• Create test plans, procedures, scripts, and test programs to support validation, production, and depot-level testing.
• Design, develop, and integrate custom test equipment, fixtures, and automated test solutions.
• Analyze test results and provide recommendations for product improvements and DFT enhancements.
• Document test activities, findings, corrective actions, and engineering recommendations.
• Ensure procedures comply with customer, regulatory, and industry standards.
• Travel occasionally to support customer, supplier, or testing needs.
