Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Staff Electrical Test Engineering Specialist to build, modify, troubleshoot, and sustain electrical test systems for X-BAT hardware. You will lead complex PCBA/harness troubleshooting, design interface electronics, and mentor technicians and engineers to ensure testability and durable fixes.

You will collaborate across electrical, mechanical, software, manufacturing, quality, and test teams to improve testability, workmanship, and lifecycle reliability.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on electrical experience in aerospace, manufacturing, test, electronics, or similar hardware environment.
• Ability to read, create, and review schematics, wiring diagrams, and test procedures.
• Experience designing and maintaining electrical test equipment, interface electronics, or production fixtures.
• Experience with benchtop electrical testing, debugging, and root-cause isolation.
• Strong documentation, workmanship, and training capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Build, integrate, validate, maintain, and repair electrical test systems.
• Perform benchtop PCBA testing and advanced troubleshooting using schematics and lab instruments.
• Design and release interface boards, PCBs, harnesses, and electrical portions of test fixtures.
• Mentor technicians and engineers, lead difficult builds and repairs, and ensure safe operation.
• Create and improve work instructions and inspection criteria.
