Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is seeking a Qualified Electrical Technician to support 24/7 battery manufacturing operations in De Soto, Kansas. The role focuses on maintenance, testing, check-out, and troubleshooting of high‑voltage electrical systems, using schematics and control diagrams to ensure reliability and safety.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work 12‑hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have experience performing maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and SOPs.
• Strong safety mindset with knowledge of LOTO, NFPA 70E, and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform QET (Qualified Electrical Technician) duties and electrical preventive maintenance to support 24/7 plant operations
• Provide QET support including breaker resets, LOTO confirmation, ZVV checks, and planned shutdowns
• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and control systems up to 480 VAC
• Clean and maintain control panels, junction boxes, and perform routine inspections
• Train others and support cross-functional teams during system shutdowns and troubleshooting
• Ensure compliance with plant safety standards, 6S, and documentation practices
