Job summary

T1 Energy is building a domestic solar module factory in Wilmer, Texas, and seeks an experienced facilities professional to lead maintenance and safety programs. You will provide technical guidance, manage repairs, and support capital projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires deep knowledge of building, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years in facilities maintenance, commercial construction, or light industrial roles.
• Expert knowledge of building construction, electrical, plumbing or fire systems.
• Ability to interpret schematics, single line diagrams, specs, and equipment manuals.
• Ability to work overtime and respond to after-hours emergencies when necessary.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient with SAP and MS Office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides technical guidance and training to peers regarding equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. Evaluates building and equipment conditions to provide leadership with the installation, repair solutions or improvement recommendations. Assist with small O&M or capital improvement projects. Assist external vendors to ensure compliance with internal policies, OSHA regulations, and federal, state, or local code requirements. Complete or assists in wiring, testing, inspecting, and maintaining environmental or life safety systems to meet federal, state, and local compliance regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of 7+ years of directly related experience in Facilities Maintenance, commercial Construction, or commercial/light industrial experiences. Expert knowledge of Building Construction, Electrical, Plumbing or Fire systems. Knowledge of engineering and design principles. Knowledge of environmental & life safety compliance regulations. Knowledge of federal, state, and local code requirements. Ability to interpret schematic diagrams, single line diagram, technical specifications, and equipment manuals. Ability to evaluate building or equipment condition and provide repair solutions or improvement recommendations to leadership. Ability to work overtime and respond to after-hour emergencies when necessary. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in the use of technology such as personal computers, Microsoft applications, and work management systems such as SAP.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS

This position is based in a manufacturing plant environment, which may involve exposure to various manufacturing conditions. Ability to work occasional extended hours or weekends as needed.

OTHER PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Been able to lift up to 75 pounds. Been able to communicate verbally efficiently. Sedentary work. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
