Job summary

Gatik is seeking an Electrical Engineering Tech Lead to own the electrical and electronic components for our autonomous vehicle platform. You will define architectures, perform bring-up, calibrate stacks, and collaborate with hardware, software, and systems teams to meet performance targets.

You will lead supplier interactions, drive validation, and ensure manufacturability while supporting field improvements and new product introductions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years leading electrical system development for mechatronic or robotics platforms.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering; deep sensor integration knowledge.
• Ability to evaluate sensor trade-offs and calibration strategies for autonomous systems.
• Experience with vehicle-level electrical integration and design for manufacturability.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration during bring-up and integration phases.
• Background in automotive, aerospace, robotics, or automation environments.
• Familiarity with scripting/automation (Python).
• Knowledge of in-vehicle protocols (GMSL2, CAN, CAN-FD, LIN).
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and embedded system interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition and development of electrical and electronic components and system architecture for an autonomous vehicle platform.
• Collaborate across hardware, software, and systems teams to drive sensor, compute, and power integration from concept to deployment.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for key component and sensor suppliers; guide selection, validation, and integration decisions.
• Oversee vehicle- and system-level bring-up; ensure readiness for calibration, testing, and manufacturing with software and validation teams.
• Define and manage technical documentation, interface specs, and deliverables for New Product Introduction and volume manufacturing.
• Support field performance improvements through structured investigation of vehicle issues with test and service teams.
• Contribute to engineering best practices for electrical system integration, verification, and reliability.
• Participate in design reviews and cross-functional problem-solving to ensure system-level performance.
