Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks an Electrical Systems Engineer to lead high‑reliability digital power conversion and electric drive systems, spanning architecture, design, verification, and validation of Thermal Management Systems for aerospace hardware.

You will drive cross‑functional integration across systems, hardware, test, and manufacturing to deliver safe, robust, and compliant solutions meeting safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on power electronics.
• 15+ years experience in electrical systems with focus on power electronics and aerospace.
• Proven leadership in design, verification, and validation of power conversion hardware and control electronics.
• Experience with high‑voltage systems, insulation coordination, and HV testing.
• Ability to work across cross‑functional teams and manage scope, schedule, and risk.

Responsibilities

• Own system‑level requirements flow‑down for digital power conversion hardware and firmware.
• Document design decisions and test outcomes with traceability for customer focus.
• Lead architecture and detailed design of digital power conversion, HV systems, and control electronics.
• Plan and execute verification and validation of hardware and systems (environmental, functional, performance).
• Define insulation coordination and HV design rules to meet safety and reliability.
• Design and review PCBs and schematics for power stages using Mentor Graphics/Altium.
• Lead high‑voltage testing and qualification, including corona and insulation tests.
• Develop automated test benches with AI&IT for digital power testing and lab safety.
• Mentor lab safety and structured test procedures; mentor early career engineers.
• Contribute to technology roadmaps and trade studies for TMS control systems.
