Job summary

The Toro Company (Exmark Division) seeks an Electrical Systems Engineer IV/V to design and develop electrical and electromechanical systems for beatrice-based machinery, with emphasis on control, electrification, battery systems, and diagnostics. You will lead project teams, develop system-level specs, and guide documentation and testing to meet safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an ABET accredited Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics program; or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics from ABET-accredited program.
• Electrical Systems Engineer IV: 7+ years in consumer or industrial product development, capable of leading through development to production.
• Electrical Systems Engineer V: 10+ years in similar product development with high technical competency and leadership.
• Strong competency in electrical, electronic, or electrified systems design.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities of product development teams.
• Experience with electrical system level design and ability to analyze and troubleshoot vehicle electrical systems.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication; strong problem solving and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and analysis projects for electrical and electromechanical systems.
• Architect and develop systems for machine control, electrification, battery systems, and diagnostics tools.
• Manage product cost, timing, durability, safety, and manufacturability.
• Develop specifications and documentation at a systems level.
• Oversee detailed design and ensure documentation is complete.
• Perform analyses using calculations, testing, data acquisition, and simulations.
• Coordinate external consultants, labs and suppliers as needed.
• Mentor and potentially supervise other engineers and team members.
