DZYNE Technologies, based in Irvine, CA, seeks a Senior Electrical Sustaining/Integration Engineer to own the full lifecycle of aircraft and launcher electrical systems. You will investigate field issues, develop test fixtures, and validate avionics systems with cross-functional teams.

On-site role reporting to Electrical Engineering Manager, with close collaboration to Vehicle Tech Leads and PMs in a fast-paced environment. Requires strong troubleshooting and integration expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in sustaining/integration engineering or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigation of field failures and drive root-cause closure.
• Analyze circuits, PCBs, and avionics subsystems; support system integration.
• Define test strategies; develop automated test solutions and fixtures.
• Assist with EOL component replacement and design improvements.
• Support product updates from obsolescence to evolving requirements.

Position Summary:

DZYNE has an immediate need for a talented Senior Electrical Sustaining/Integration Engineer who will be a hands‑on contributor across the full lifecycle of DZYNE's aircraft and launcher electrical systems. In this role, the engineer will investigate hardware issues, develop test fixtures and solutions, perform system integration and avionics/electronic system validation. This position reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager, while working directly with Vehicle Technical Leads and Program Managers.

Required Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead investigation of field failures/issues on flight hardware and drive root‑cause analysis to closure
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex circuits/components/PCBs and avionics subsystems. Support system level integration
• Define test strategies. Develop automated and semi‑automated test solutions involving test equipment/fixtures and software design
• Assist with EOL component replacement and provide guidance on design improvements
• Support design updates driven by product improvements, obsolescence, and evolving requirements
• Work closely with cross‑functional engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to support new product development and active deployments in a fast‑paced environment.

RequiredSkills/Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years of relevant industry experience
• Demonstrated capability in troubleshooting, validating, and analyzing electronic components/subsystems/systems
• Understanding of Analog/Mixed‑signal, Digital, or RF circuit components
• Hands‑on experience with hardware/firmware/software integration
• Detailed working knowledge of common test equipment
• Experience with test automation
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• Experience in designing electronics and/or circuit boards
• Hands‑on experience with system integration and aircraft systems highly desired
• Experience working in small to medium sized teams in a fast‑paced R&D environment
• Familiar with MIL spec hardware and harnessing standards

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

Clearance Level Required:

No Security Clearance is required, but it is highly desired

Travel Required:

Not required for daily activities, but probable travel once per quarter

Working Conditions

The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, such as a general office environment, to warehouse and other facilities.

Physical Demands:

• Must have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Involves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work.

This position requires access to information and technology subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). As a result, employment is contingent upon meeting applicable export control eligibility requirements and compliance obligations.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis without the need for current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Salary:

$135,000 - $175,000 annually Salary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high‑demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of salary or annual bonus.
