Job summary
Rocket Lab's Supply Chain team is seeking a Senior Supplier Development Engineer I/II - Electrical at its Long Beach, CA HQ. You will own supplier industrialization, drive PPAP/DFMEA/MSA, and lead DFM reviews across PCBAs, harnesses, connectors, and power systems.
This hands-on role interfaces with design, procurement, and quality to ensure at-rate production. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in regulated industries, strong APQP/PPAP experience, and the ability to translate design intent into
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years in a regulated industry (Aerospace, Medical, Automotive, Industrial).
- Experience with APQP/PPAP and quality planning deliverables.
- Ability to translate design intent into manufacturing and quality requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end supplier industrialization from source selection through production ramp.
- Conduct supplier capability assessments and drive process control plans.
- Lead DFMs with design engineering and provide feedback on PCB layouts and tolerances.
- Own PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, and CPk/CppK analysis for critical characteristics.
- Drive RCCA for supplier quality issues and apply 8D/5-Why methodologies.
