Job summary

Kelly is seeking an experienced Electrical QA Specialist to inspect, test, and validate low to medium voltage distribution equipment and medium-voltage switchgear before shipment. This hands-on role ensures products meet customer specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements through electrical inspections, functional testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical inspection or testing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with power distribution equipment is strongly preferred.
• Strong ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E and safe high-voltage testing practices.
• Familiarity with UL 67, UL 891, UL 1558, IEEE C37.20.2, and IEEE C37.20.3 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical assemblies, wiring, and control panels for workmanship and compliance.
• Perform electrical testing including Hi-Pot, Megger, insulation resistance, and functional testing.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Troubleshoot quality issues and participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain and calibrate electrical test equipment.
• Document inspection and test results while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Promote safe testing practices in accordance with NFPA 70E and company procedures.
