Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America seeks a Sr. Electrical Project Engineer for our Gladstone, VA Riverville Mill.

You will provide engineering services to maintenance and operations, develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, and manage project scope, schedule and cost. Requirements include a BS in Electrical Engineering and 10–15 years in process engineering or production in the paper industry.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 10–15 years’ experience in process engineering or production in the paper industry.
• Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail and follow-up.
• Demonstrated skills in setting priorities and delegating, analytical problem solving, and teamwork facilitation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to function and contribute within a team environment.
• Must be authorized to work in U.S.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering services to maintenance and operating personnel to resolve maintenance, technical, and equipment reliability issues.
• Establish and maintain safe work practices and environment for coworkers and employees.
• Ensure mill rules and company policies are followed.
• Supervise mill and contract employees as required.
• Maintain equipment files and databases; determine preventive and predictive maintenance needs.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance procedures to ensure equipment availability.
• Coordinate project scope, schedule and cost; manage project construction.
• Coordinate commissioning and start-up and communicate project status.
