Job summary

Sargent Electric is seeking a Project Manager for our East Chicago, Indiana office. You will provide leadership and direction for electrical construction projects, including large-scale commercial and industrial work.

Responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure safety, quality, and contractual compliance. This role requires strong project management and financial acumen, with travel as needed to support project delivery and

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience leading electrical construction projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Business Management, or related field preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clients, field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and leadership.
• Demonstrated leadership in motivating teams, solving problems, and making sound business decisions.
• Strong financial and operational understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cost control, scheduling, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful execution of projects by managing budgets, schedules, resources, and client communication.
• Provide supervision to project-related supervisory, management, and administrative personnel.
• Make timely decisions to drive profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee development and execution of project schedules, cost reports, forecasts, and KPIs.
• Prepare and administer subcontracts, purchase orders, and project documentation.
• Review and approve jobsite purchases and vendor invoices.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure project safety, quality, and compliance with contract documents and codes.
