IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical seeks an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead Data Center construction initiatives. You will oversee all phases from bidding through completion, ensuring safety, NEC compliance, and high client satisfaction.

The role emphasizes budget control, scheduling, vendor coordination, and strong communication with internal teams and clients. Onsite work is required, with opportunities to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years electrical construction PM experience on $20–$100M projects including mission critical, ground-up, and remodeling.
• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or construction management preferred.
• Data Center experience required; hyperscale a plus.
• Valid electrical license (Journeyman or Master) preferred.
• Strong budgeting, scheduling, and project-tracking capabilities.
• Proficient with industry tools: Accubid, Procore, BIM360, MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall management of electrical data center projects from start to finish.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, safety policies, and OSHA requirements.
• Set objectives, procedures and performance standards per corporate policy.
• Represent company in project meetings and negotiations.
• Manage contracts financials to protect company interests and maintain client relationships.
• Lead project team to meet client and company expectations.

Job Summary

• Provides overall management in all phases of construction for one or more Data Center electrical projects and develops new business opportunities relative to a particular Client, group of Clients or geographical area.
• Manages projects in a manner that exceeds our customers' expectations and ensures that our work adheres to NEC, company safety policies and OSHA mandated requirements.
• Establishes project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
• Represents company in project meetings and assists in labor negotiations, strategy meetings.
• Manages financial aspects of contracts to protect company’s interest and simultaneously maintains good relationship with clients.
• Manages the project team to ensure that project delivery meets the expectations of the client as well as IES.
• Performs takeoffs and price change orders and project related quotes.
• Works closely with the Project Executive to ensure accurate tracking and financial reporting.
• Work required to be performed at the Project Site.

Qualifications

• 8 or more years’ electrical construction project management experience in all phases of electrical projects $20-$100M including mission critical, ground-up construction, and remodeling.
• Bachelor's Degree engineering or construction management preferred
• Data Center experience is required.
• Hyperscale Data Center experience preferred.
• Valid Electrical License on the Journeyman or Master level strongly preferred.
• Proficientcomputer, communications (oral and written), and interpersonal skills.
• Detailed understanding of electrical estimating, budgeting, scheduling and project tracking.
• Detailed understanding of billing and financial reporting.
• Business knowledge of vendors in respective electrical construction industry.
• Proficient in Accubid, Blue Beam, Procore, CX Alloy, BIM360, MS Project, P6 and other industry standard software.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check and MVR check.
