Job summary

GPAC in Omaha is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager on behalf of a local electrical contractor. You will lead multiple commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical projects from pre-construction through completion, managing budgets, schedules, and client communications.

The role requires 7+ years of electrical PM experience, strong knowledge of electrical systems and blueprints, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of electrical project management experience with an electrical contractor.
• Experience with large-scale commercial, industrial, institutional projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction processes, scheduling.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications and contracts.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, and subcontractors.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Stable work history.
• Proficiency with project management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee multiple commercial, industrial, and institutional electrical projects from pre-construction to completion.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and forecasts.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Manage project teams, including field personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards throughout project execution.
• Identify and mitigate risks, proactively addressing project challenges.
• Oversee the preparation and processing of RFIs, change orders, and submittals.
• Conduct regular project meetings, providing progress updates and addressing concerns.
• Support business development efforts by building and maintaining client relationships.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to junior project managers and field teams.
