Akkodis is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager to oversee electrical data center projects nationwide. This role includes project execution, team management, detailed planning, and ensuring quality standards. With a focus on safety and efficiency, you will significantly contribute to the company’s success while traveling 70%-80% across the U.S.
Akkodis is currently searching for a heavy traveler (up to 80%) to support work all over the United States as the Senior Electrical Project Manager. As a Senior PM, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and delivering electrical data center projects from initiation to completion.
Type: Direct / Permanent Hire
Salary: 120k - 150k/Annual + Bonus Structure per project completion (Salary may be negotiable based upon experience, education, geographic location, and other factors)
Location: Texas and Arizona
Travel: 70%-80% Travel within the United States
Responsibilities:
Project Execution and Monitoring:Supervise all aspects of project execution, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Monitor project progress, budget, and timelines, and take proactive measures to address any issues or deviations.
Project Planning and Initiation:Collaborate with clients, engineers, and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful project execution. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
Team Management:Build and lead project teams, including electricians, technicians, and subcontractors. Assign tasks, set clear expectations, and monitor team performance to ensure project objectives are met. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, reports, and records. Prepare and deliver regular progress reports to management and clients.
Change Management:Handle project changes and scope adjustments efficiently, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and costs. Document and communicate changes to relevant parties
Quality Assurance:Implement quality control procedures to guarantee the highest standards of workmanship and safety
Project Closure:Conduct project reviews to evaluate performance against project objectives and client expectations. Ensure all project deliverables are completed, and necessary documentation is provided to clients. Prepare and submit final project reports and invoices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
8+ proven years of experience as a Project Manager with recent experience in the Electrical Data Center industry.
Manage full lifecycle project management responsibilities in the field, specifically in the Hyperscale and Ground-up electrical data center space.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
PMP or relevant project management certification (desired).
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
