Job summary

HGA, an award-winning architecture, engineering and planning firm, seeks a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join the Minneapolis, MN or Milwaukee, WI office. Lead a multidisciplinary team to design high-performance electrical systems for healthcare, cultural and education facilities, and more.

This role requires 15+ years of relevant experience, a professional license, and expertise in NFPA codes, Revit, and electrical design software.

Qualifications

BS or MS degree in electrical engineering.
15+ years of experience in power-system design across healthcare, commercial, cultural, government, industrial, higher education, and campus energy projects.
Professional licensure is required.
Experience with NFPA codes and electrical design software (Revit, SKM/Easy Power) is essential.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of electrical engineers, designers and BIM specialists.
Write scopes of work for electrical design based on client meetings.
Prepare workplans for design teams based on project scope and team member skillsets.
Assess project requirements, break a project into tasks, and determine scope, budget, and staffing.
Prepare engineering opinions of probable cost for electrical systems and review contractor estimates.
Present complex engineering analysis to owners and design teams.
Review drawings for code compliance and company standards.
