Leo A Daly in Minneapolis seeks aSenior Project Engineer II to manage all phases of electrical design projects, collaborating with Architects and Engineers to deliver innovative solutions. This role acts as a primary engineer on projects and a point of contact for client relations.

The position requires a PE license and 10+ years of electrical engineering experience across commercial, healthcare, mission-critical and light industrial project types.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience across various project types.
• Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts on electrical design as primary engineer for projects.
• Mentor Project Engineers, EITs, and Designers.
• Attend client meetings and communicate with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Perform system design, including narratives, calculations, equipment selection, layouts and specs.
• Conduct load calculations, short circuit, arc-flash analyses and coordination.
• Coordinate cross-discipline discussions and site evaluations, ensuring quality and code compliance.
• Support construction administration through shop drawings reviews, RFIs, and site visits.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to proposals and fee estimates.
