Job summary

Corning, Inc. is hiring a Staff Electrical Systems Engineer to lead the design and analysis of industrial electrical power systems across major facility expansions, greenfield projects, and new equipment installations.

You will serve as a corporate technical resource, guiding power-system design, reviews, troubleshooting, and project execution from scoping through commissioning. The role requires travel up to 50% (primarily within the U.S.) and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years of relevant electrical power engineering experience.
• Experience designing and analyzing industrial electrical power systems and equipment.
• Strong knowledge of medium- and low-voltage power systems.
• Experience conducting short-circuit, protection and coordination studies.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement electrical power systems for facility expansions and new equipment.
• Lead design, analysis, testing, commissioning, and turnover phases of projects.
• Manage electrical engineering scope of process improvements and capital expansions.
• Develop cost models, resource plans, and timelines for electrical projects.
• Support distribution systems and coordination studies for reliability.
• Lead root-cause analysis and troubleshooting of electrical equipment.
• Collaborate with internal teams, facilities, consultants, and vendors.
• Maintain corporate standards for facility electrical power distribution.
