Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to ensure reliability and safety of our facility's electrical systems. You will perform preventive and predictive maintenance, diagnose issues, and support commissioning, with strict adherence to safety procedures.

The role requires 7+ years of industrial electrical experience, strong knowledge of LV/MV distribution, and hands-on troubleshooting of switchgear, VFDs, UPS, and motors.

Qualifications

• 7+ years working on industrial electrical systems (LV/MV power distribution, controls, or facilities maintenance).
• Strong understanding of electrical fundamentals, schematics, and troubleshooting methods.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair electrical equipment (switchgear, VFDs, UPS, motors, relays).
• Demonstrated experience with LOTO and safe electrical work practices (NFPA 70E or equivalent).
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree, apprenticeship, or electrical license preferred.

Position Summary

The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and optimal performance of a facility’s electrical systems. This role encompasses preventive and predictive maintenance , troubleshooting, corrective actions, commissioning support, documentation, and inventory management, all carried out in full compliance with safety procedures.

• Own reliability for assigned systems/areas and drive corrective actions.

• Perform all work in compliance with safety procedures (LOTO / EEW).

Skills and Qualifications

Here’s what you’ll need:

• Relevant experience: 7+ years working on industrial electrical systems (LV/MV power distribution, controls, or facilities maintenance).
• Electrical knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical fundamentals, schematics, and troubleshooting methods.

The current base salary range for this role is between $31.00 - $46.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
