Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician responsible for reliability and safety of our electrical systems, performing preventive/predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation in line with safety procedures.

You will own reliability for assigned systems, support commissioning and system validation, manage work orders in iEMS, and ensure inventory readiness, with a base salary range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years working on industrial electrical systems
• Strong understanding of electrical fundamentals, schematics, and troubleshooting
• Hands-on ability to diagnose and repair electrical equipment (switchgear, VFDs, UPS, motors)
• Experience with LOTO and safe electrical work practices (NFPA 70E or equivalent)
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or electrical license preferred

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and optimal performance of a facility’s electrical systems. This role encompasses preventive and predictive maintenance , troubleshooting, corrective actions, commissioning support, documentation, and inventory management, all carried out in full compliance with safety procedures.

Role And Responsibilities

Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

Skills And Qualifications

Here’s what you’ll need:

• Relevant experience: 7+ years working on industrial electrical systems (LV/MV power distribution, controls, or facilities maintenance).
• Electrical knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical fundamentals, schematics, and troubleshooting methods.
• Hands-on troubleshooting ability: Proven ability to diagnose and repair electrical equipment (switchgear, VFDs, UPS, motors, relays).
• Safety competency: Demonstrated experience with LOTO and safe electrical work practices (NFPA 70E or equivalent).
• Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree, apprenticeship, or electrical license preferred.

The current base salary range for this role is between $31.00 - $46.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance
