Job summary

DuPont is seeking an Electrical & Instrument Mechanic at the Towanda, PA site to maintain and repair electrical equipment, including conveyors, motors, sensors, and control systems. The role requires working with voltages up to 480V under NFPA 70E guidelines and involves diagnosing instrumentation loops and PLCs.

The position includes planned preventive maintenance, safety compliance, and potential on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum five (5) years of relevant Electrical & Instrumentation experience.
• OR a minimum 2-year technical degree in Electronics & Instrumentation.
• OR completion of a formal Instrument/Electrical Technician apprentice program.
• Must be willing to wear PPE (gloves, eye protection, hardhats, etc.).
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work weekday, day or rotating shift, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair components of Process Control Instrumentation loops.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial electrical equipment.
• Service programmable controllers and distributed control systems to assure reliable operation.
• Maintain web thickness measuring systems.
• Perform planned preventive maintenance and routine calibration of instruments.
• Follow safety procedures and electrical safety rules (NFPA-70E).
• Mentor and train others in instrument/electrical troubleshooting.
• Provide basic process automation support as needed.
• Participate in reliability improvement activities and spare parts management.
• Coordinate outside resources for maintenance and repairs.
• Understand and use SAP for stores material management.
