Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Engineer (E&I) to join a client in the engineering consulting industry. You will perform field inspections, develop installation designs, and prepare wiring schematics while ensuring code compliance.

You will support project execution, coordinate procurement, and assist in startup activities with a focus on cost-effective, reliable solutions. Ideal candidates have 7+ years in E&I, PE/PE-track, and experience with AutoCAD or Revit.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
7+ years of Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) engineering experience in industrial environments.
Experience developing electrical power distribution, instrumentation, and controls designs for capital projects.
Proficiency creating and reviewing loop sheets, one-lines, wiring diagrams, elementary drawings, and control system architecture documentation.
Experience performing field walks, site investigations, and existing-condition verification in operating facilities.
Knowledge of motor controls, VFDs, instrumentation, PLC-based control systems, and industrial networks.
PE license or PE-track/EIT certification.

Responsibilities

Support project execution through scope development, procurement coordination, bid packages, construction support, startup activities, and closeout.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver cost-effective and reliable solutions.
Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for client needs and business development.
Lead capital projects from concept through construction and mentor junior staff as needed.
