Job summary

Orion Engineers + Constructors seeks an Electrical/Instrumentation Designer III to join our team in Chocolate Bayou, Texas. The role focuses on producing detailed E&I design packages, including P&IDs, loops, cable schedules, and bill of materials to support construction and procurement.

The candidate will work under Capital Engineering and be responsible for ensuring drawings meet project scopes, standards, and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 4 to 10 years of industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation drafting and design.
• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD required.
• Proficiency with P&IDs/EFDs, AutoCAD and MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed E&I designs and drawings to support construction activities.
• Draft, prepare and coordinate Instrumentation and electrical drawings, BOMs, and data sheets.
• Verify drawings for accuracy and compliance with codes and standards.
• Coordinate with project teams and third-party firms to develop scopes of work.
