Job summary

The Zachry Group seeks an experienced Electrical/Instrumentation & Controls Drafting Specialist to develop 2-D/3-D drawings for nuclear power projects. The role requires independent design work, field walkdowns, and collaboration with project engineers to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with design standards.

Candidates should have an Associate degree in drafting or engineering technology or 9+ years of related experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in engineering drafting.
• Strong familiarity with electrical/instrumentation and controls systems design.
• Experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Ability to perform field walkdowns and develop field sketches.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical/instrumentation and controls drawings in 2-D/3-D.
• Check drawings for accuracy against project criteria and standards.
• Perform field walkdowns to obtain measurements and as-built data.
• Coordinate with project engineers and other disciplines to resolve design issues.
• Interface with customers and construction teams to satisfy standards.
