Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Electrical Cost Estimator in San Francisco, responsible for producing cost estimates on large-scale projects ranging from $5M to $10B. You will develop estimates, review proposals, and interface with clients.

The ideal candidate has 10-15 years of relevant electrical experience, familiarity with estimating software, and must be located in the Western US for a hybrid working model. Benefits include health coverage, 401(k), and unlimited paid time off.

Qualifications

• 10 to 15 years of electrical field experience in utility, substation, distribution, or transmission construction.
• Progressive and successful cost estimating experience in substation and high-voltage projects.
• Ability to provide constructability and cost estimates for projects lacking detailed design.

Responsibilities

• Develop capital cost estimates for utility and transportation projects.
• Review contractor proposals for various procurement types.
• Interface with external clients to present capital cost estimates.
