KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing seeks a Large-Scale Electrical Estimator in Salt Lake City, UT, to manage bidding for complex electrical construction projects.

Ideal candidates have extensive estimating experience, strong NEC knowledge, and the ability to coordinate with vendors and internal project teams. The role supports healthcare, commercial, and mission-critical projects with a focus on long-term professional growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical construction, design, estimating, or project financials.
• At least 2 years of electrical project management experience.
• Licensed Electrician or substantial electrical background.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Accubid, ConstructJob, or comparable electrical estimating software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and interested in long-term professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical bids, takeoffs, and detailed cost estimates.
• Develop and oversee preconstruction budgets and preliminary schedules.
• Download, organize, and review drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Analyze contract documents to identify scope requirements, risks, and opportunities.
• Solicit, review, and compare vendor and subcontractor quotes.
• Conduct jobsite visits for remodel and renovation projects.
• Prepare bid letters, proposal packages, clarifications, and supporting documentation.
• Present takeoffs, quotes, bid strategies, and proposal documents to leadership for review.
• Estimate commercial, healthcare, and mission-critical projects.
• Manage multiple high-value estimates and competing bid deadlines.
• Maintain accurate and organized estimating documentation.
• Support a positive, dependable, and team-focused working environment.
