Job summary

Stryker Electric Contracting in Sarasota, FL seeks an experienced Electrical Estimator to lead the estimating process for large-scale commercial and industrial projects. You will develop takeoffs, prepare bid proposals, and guide pricing from bid to contract.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in electrical estimating, strong Excel and Estimating software skills (ConEst), and the ability to coordinate with vendors and construction teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years electrical estimating experience.
• Ability to read plans and specifications.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and ConEst estimating software.
• Strong multitasking capabilities and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication with internal teams and clients.
• Experience with education sector large commercial/industrial projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating process for large-scale commercial/industrial projects with electrical scopes up to $10,000,000.
• Develop complete and accurate takeoffs from project plans and specifications.
• Prepare detailed and professional bid proposals.
• Clarify bid documents and prepare RFIs.
• Conduct post-bid follow-up, negotiate scope and pricing, and provide value engineering or scope modifications as needed.
• Work with vendors to obtain multiple competitive material quotes.
• Collaborate with the construction team throughout project execution.
• Create, manage, and track change orders.
• Maintain well-organized bid documentation and manage multiple projects concurrently.
