Job summary

Traffic Management Solutions is seeking an Electrical Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for FDOT and other transportation-related electrical construction projects. Responsibilities include quantity takeoffs, labor and material costs, and bid development within a strong DOT framework.

The role requires extensive experience in highway estimating, attention to detail, and proficiency with estimating software such as B2W.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field; significant experience may substitute for degree.
• At least seven years of construction estimating experience, with at least four years on similar highway projects.

Responsibilities

• Review DOT plans, specs, bid documents and related notes to determine project scope.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for electrical/transportation systems and related components.
• Develop complete project estimates including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and MOB/traffic impacts.
• Prepare RFIs and pre-bid questions when plans require clarification.
• Solicit and evaluate pricing from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure scope coverage.
