Job summary

TheElectricians is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to join our growing preconstruction team in Centennial, Colorado. This role offers meaningful responsibility, direct access to leadership, and the opportunity to shape which projects we pursue and how they move from estimate to execution.

Ideal candidates will independently manage complex estimates from opportunity review through proposal submission and turnover, with strong commercial experience and sound judgment.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of electrical estimating experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, materials, labor, installation methods, and sequencing.
• Ability to independently prepare complete electrical estimates.
• Experience interpreting plans, specifications, addenda, and contract documents.
• Experience with Estimating software such as Accubid, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Excel, or equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Review invitations to bid and help identify projects aligned with capabilities, resources, and financial goals.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, addenda, schedules, and bid requirements.
• Prepare complete estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and related project costs.
• Perform accurate takeoffs for commercial construction, tenant improvements, remodels, design-build, and specialty projects.
• Solicit, compare, and level vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Develop inclusions, exclusions, qualifications, clarifications, and value engineering options.
• Identify scope gaps, constructability concerns, scheduling risks, and potential cost exposure.
• Prepare professional proposals and participate in strategy meetings, site walks, scopes reviews, and post-bid discussions.
• Coordinate turnover packages for project management and operations.
• Maintain pricing, labor assumptions, estimating records, and historical cost information.
• Help improve estimating systems, standards, and processes.

Compensation

Basesalaryrangesfrom$100,000to$160,000,dependingonexperience,demonstratedability,andthelevelofresponsibilitytheselectedcandidateispreparedtoassume.

Foranexceptionalcandidate,thetotalcompensationpackagemayreach$200,000throughacombinationofbasesalary,performanceincentives,employerprovidedbenefits,andothernegotiatedcompensation.

Performanceincentivesarenotguaranteedandwilldependonthefinalcompensationarrangement,individualcontribution,estimatingaccuracy,profitableawardedwork,marginprotection,andcompanyperformance.
