Job summary

Universal Electronics is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to design, develop, integrate and validate electrical hardware for connected-home and consumer-electronics products.

You will own complex design activities from requirements through production transfer, collaborating with software, mechanical, RF, test, applications, program management, sourcing, quality, and manufacturing teams across UEI locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years of related electrical engineering experience in embedded/consumer-electronics.
• Ability to work independently and solve complex problems with limited direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex electrical hardware development for wireless control and smart-home products.
• Translate requirements into architectures, schematics, BOMs, and interface definitions.
• Design and review analog/digital/mixed-signal circuits and power-management.
• Plan prototype bring-up, debugging, and reliability testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across UEI locations and with customers and suppliers.
• Support regulatory and product-safety certification activities.
